FACE CLEANSER

• 2 tbs apricot oil

• 2 tbs rosehip seed oil

• 2 tbs shea butter

• 1 tbs beeswax

•  5 drops cypress essential oil

• 5 drops frankincense essential oil

• 5 drops bergamot essential oil

• Heat the oils, butter and beeswax over a bain-marie

• When the wax has melted remove from the heat

• Add the essential oils and pour into a 120ml sterilised jar

• Allow to cool for 1-2 hours before placing on the lid

• Store in a cool dark place

• Keeps for 3 months

• Massage into the skin

• Use a muslin cloth or flannel to remove

This is based on a Neal’s Yard recipe.

To sterilise jars add them to a pan of boiling water and boil for 5 minutes before draining and allowing them to air dry. Alternatively, to microwave fill the glass jar half with water and microwave for 1-2 minutes. I sometimes use the microwaving sterilising packets that I used to sterilise my son’s baby bottles! Just be careful that if the lids are plastic they are microwavable as some will lose their shape when heated.
