LINSEED TEA
2 tablespoons of golden flax seeds
2 pints of water
Bring to the boil.
Turn the heat off and leave for a minimum of 20 minutes or ideally 12 hours.
Bring back to the boil.
Simmer 15-60 minutes.
Sieve and remove the seeds.
The mixture should be a light golden colour and a syrupy consistency.
This mixture will last 3 days in the fridge.
Take 3 times a day or until you feel better.
If you struggle to drink it on its own, I often add a couple of tablespoons to chamomile tea as it can make it more palatable especially when you start.
Linseed tea provides essential fatty acids and fibre, and hydrates at a cellular level. When cells are hydrated, they release toxins and revert to an alkaline state. This is great for inflammation and acidity which underpins most illnesses.
