Hoisin Sauce - Fakeaway
¼ cup black strap molasses (75g)
2tbs + ½ tsp soya sauce
2 tbs peanut butter (35g)
2tbs apple cider vinegar
½ tsp garlic powder or a small crushed garlic clove
½ tsp siracha sauce
1.5 tsp cornflour
1.5 tsp cold water
Mix the cornflour with cold water in a small bowl and set aside
Heat everything else into a small pan and bring to the boil
Stir the water and cornflour until mixed well, add to the pan
Lower to a simmer then stir and cook until thickened
Sieve into a sterilised glass jar
